My weekend at the London Meetup

Hi everyone I am back in the States. I had such a great time over the whole weekend, and the two days at the meet-up at the Thames Festival were great. I met 15 people there, 6 of whom had never attended a meet-up, and not one of us could smell each other. We met under the umbrella, it was easy to find each other, and we walked to the other side of the festival along side the Thames and sat outside surrounded by musicians performing and food stands all around selling foods of all kinds from around the world. We talked and got to know each other well very quickly – probably much faster than if we had not shared a common malady. I'll be writing many posts in the following days about all the very interesting things we talked about; but mostly we just enjoyed being normal and wandered around the festival taking it all in.

Then, we strolled along the riverfront as we saw the boats racing, the musicians playing their instruments, the vendors selling their arts and crafts and ethnic foods. We reached the London Eye where there was an amphitheater along side of it with live entertainment and great food and drink stands all around.

On the second day, we took a cruise on the Thames that left the hotel where we had gathered at one end of the festival, that took us all the way to the other end of the Festival. It was a beautiful, bright sunny day with a cool breeze that induced a serene sense of well-being. We saw thousands of people along the waterfront enjoying the festivities. Then we went to a pub on the upper deck of one of the ships that was docked on the river, and talked for what felt like a lifetime. We talked as if we had been life-long friends who shared our deepest thoughts knowing they would all be understood by everyone.

We walked clear across to the London Eye again, got our dinner and drink, threw a blanket on the green lawn and listened to the sounds of the music from the amphitheater and the bustle of the people all around as we watched the sunset. We enjoyed the show under the stars until it was time to go.

Sadly, it is now over. We can only look forward to the next time when we’ll meet the same faces again and hopefully many new ones.

Goodbye for now dear London

Well it's time to leave the beautiful city of London and the wonderful people I met here. It saddens me to have to leave them knowing that I won't be able to see them more frequently, but I will continue posting in this blog with all of them in mind. This experience has brought us all together from all parts of the world, and it brings a smile on my face every time I think about that.

When I get home, I will be posting a video of Arun doing a breath analysis with a 'funny pump thing' used for scientific analysis. I'll let Arun explain it in better scientific terms.

Well, time to take my flight now. Sorry this goodbye video turned out too dark, but my words come from my heart.

Day 1 at the London meetup. Day 2 is Sunday 12 noon

Today was the first day of our Thames Festival Meet-up, the first one I've ever attended. There were a total of 8 people today, and the rest are coming tomorrow. Of the 8 people, only 2 had attended the previous meet-ups and it was the first one for the other 6 people. Of the 8 people, already 2 have been diagnosed with TMAU.

The most beautiful part of this meet is how quickly we bypassed the common initial encounter protocol and immediately bonded as if so much unspoken communication had already taken place. We quickly transcended to a closeness that allowed us to feel peaceful and relaxed as if we had been experiencing our "battles" together, and now share a deep solidarity in our quest for healing.

Again, each and every one of us let out a sigh of relief knowing that not one of us smelled any of the others! Could it be that our happy, peaceful state somehow decreased our odor just as stress increases odor? Maybe much more could be said for emotional triggers in addition to hormonal and dietary triggers. If fact, we did not get even negative reactions from the thousands of people in the festival. Just this fact alone made our experience so very special and only added to the spiritual healing we all experienced in these few hours. We couldn't help but think of all the other sufferers not present, and wished the same comfort we found here to each and every one of them.

Here I am in London! (Picture slideshow)

Hello everyone!

I have seen London as the Londoners, as opposed to a tourist. I LOVE IT!!! Nothing better than my Brit friends showing me their country! Have a look at the pics. Wishing you were here with me... Next year maybe if not this weekend???

Tomorrow starts the festival. I'll be sending you more pics (not of any sufferers, only of the festival).
